Coronado Dog Beach

Friday and Saturday this weekend I had the Young Women's Surrender Conference at church and Friday night I thought all I wanted to do was come home from work and SLEEP but I am so glad I made myself go it was soooo good, refreshing, encouraging, thought provoking and so needed!

These last few weekends have been so hectic I have been looking forward to today and having some time with just my hubby! After going for a long walk, getting some things done around the house, and going to babiesrus we took our sweet puppy Lucy to dog beach to run around for a while. It is so cute dogs can learn a certain amount of words and one word Lucy knows is friend. Anytime I ask her where her friends are she gets really excited and starts running around. Just so you know friends in Lucy's vocabulary are only other dogs. If I ask her if she wants to go see friends she will actually let me put her harness on and take her outside. Yes we have an odd dog who HATES going on walks! Anyway being around other dogs is heaven in my puppy's world!
Ready. Set. Freedom!

Oh and my growing belly!

Lots of dogs out playing!

October really is such a beautiful time of the year in San Diego. Most of the tourist have gone home, the summer humidity is gone and the weather, though unpredictible, is just amazing.

Eli's 1st Birthday at the pumpkin patch!

Eli's first birthday party was a couple of weekends ago and Andrew and I couldn't miss it so we drove up for the day! Jennilee organized it so the party was at a pumpkin patch and it was a perfect day for it!
Here is the birthday boy with his Grandpa!

Just a few pics

from last weekend. I know it is the weekend again:) Oh well! It was another busy one with birthday celebrations and other events. And we are heading into another busy weekend with Eli's first birthday party tomorrow!!

Friday night our friend Seth's parents were in town and we all got together to spend some time with them! They were super sweet and we were glad we got to meet them! Here are a few pics from that.

Saturday was my friend Julia's birthday so we got pedicures to celebrate and I am thouroughly convinced I need to make it a monthly occurrence, if not to just sit in the massage chair for an hour! We all went out to desert later husbands and baby included! Sorry no pictures!

Also the Mildrens stayed with us saturday night while they were hanging out with family in SD and I can't believe how much this guy is walking! We only saw him a little over a month ago! Oh and isn't he such a little California boy with his vintage looking surf shirt! So cute!
On Sunday we went to Jimmy's 3rd birthday party! It was a pirate theme. Don't they look scary:)
Blowing out his birthday candles while big brother closely supervises!
Then it was time for the treasure chest pinata.
But of course the best part is diving for all the treasures!
This little pregnant lady is wiped out!

Time to vote!

Ok not THAT vote! But it is almost time for that too! Presidential debate tonight anyone?
My grandma (Lorraine Bachran) has been selected as one of the 16 finalists for AARP 50+ model search for 2008! So go HERE to vote for her!
Here is the essay that she sent in with her application:

Lorraine Bachran
Age: 79
Kaneohe, HI
Today the face of 50+ is full of life and vitality. I believe we can all age gracefully and healthily without relying on prescription drugs. My husband and I have six grown children and 10 grandchildren, and soon will welcome our sixth great-grandchild. Bill and I have been married for 59 years and are still working. Bill is an independent PR and media consultant for golf tournaments, and I serve as a wellness consultant and as an associate pastor for New Life Church Honolulu. Today we are more aware of anti-aging health programs, and are embracing each other and life more fully with vigor and joy and love.

Doesn't she look great for 79!! Oh and the sixth great-grandchild she references would be ours!:)
Ok now go vote!

Pink Pink and more Pink!

Andrew and I had planned after our appointment to go out to lunch and go to baby gap to buy one little gender specific item to celebrate! When I got home on Wednesday night though i saw we had a FedEx package. Andrew's mom had sent us a gift card so we could have a little fun celebrating! I think we ended up getting three pennies back so boy did we have fun!
Well and once we found out we were having a girl I had to make her a little something so I decorated this onesie with yo-yos and buttons! ( you can get the yo-yo pattern here )
I made a few bigger ones I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them yet.

The past two weekends:)

I have not been keeping up with my posts! So here is a quick update on what we have been up to! A couple of weekends ago Kyle and Alissa and Katelyn came down for Saturday afternoon. We decided to hit up the gap sale and scored some great deals!! Katelyn go some cute stuff and I got some great maternity stuff!

We left gap just in time to catch happy hour at the Little Fish Market! They have the best fish tacos!

We have been enjoying going to the Sunday morning service and being able to hang out with friends after. I didn't get any pictures but we bbq'd with our friends Jeff and Lindsey and played a few rounds of Mario cart on their Wii! I love racing games and yes I like playing video games:)

Last weekend we drove up to Corona Del Mar to hang out with Kyle and Alissa again and to see the completed beach house while we were there! I could sit outside there all day and be happy! It was a cold overcast day which was a welcome relief to the 100 degree weather we have been having down here! It has been so hot Andrew and I even went swimming a couple nights in a row a couple of weeks ago just to cool down.
The view was amazing!
I had fun playing with Katelyn and getting giggles out of her! Lucy was not feeling herself in a different house and was sticking extra close hence her sitting right next to me! She settled right in after a while though. Kyle's mom was nice enough to watch her and Katelyn while we all went to dinner and when we got back she was just snuggled in and happy as can be!
More playing and giggles! Her mom sure makes her laugh!

On our way to dinner. . . Alissa's friends from high school were visiting for the weekend and we haven't seen them since her wedding!
Sunday after church we picked up lunch and went to the Free's house to eat! It was fun meeting the rest of the Free family and hanging out there for a while!
Then when we got home our friends Adam and Julia came over for dinner with little Noah! Noah has already grown out of his newborn Pampers so our baby girl got a donation:) I think we have enough for her first few days anyway! It was a very fun but very busy weekend! Andrew and I are ready for a weekend with no plans but it looks like that is a couple weeks out for us! I think we are trying to make the most of our last baby free days even though we can hardly wait until she gets here!

Most of you were right!

WE ARE HAVING A GIRL, A GIRL A SWEET BABY GIRL!!! We are over the moon excited and about to head out to buy some pink!! It was so cool to see her again and of course I started crying when they told us it was a girl! Here are more pictures than I'm sure most people care for but hey this is our first so we can be obnoxious!
Most of the appointment she was laying there with both her hands behind her head and her ankles crossed. Just chillin in the womb I love it! Then toward the end of the appointment she started moving her head back and forth like what is going on out there and turned her back to us!
This is a shot of her hand behind her head!

You can kind of see in this one her ankles crossed!
Oh and there are some foot prints!! Oh we are so in love with her already we can hardly stand it!

Yup it's a girl!Oh and some butt cheeks:) don't you just want to pinch them!
