Big Bear!

We are back from our weekend at Big Bear and we are off to bed! Here are just a few pictures to share. It was warm and sunny during the day and chilly at night. This time it was cold enough to build a fire, so cozy! We walked around the little town and checked out the cute shops! Andrew took this picture to the left and I love the perspective. Now it's time to do some more laundry, pack and then we are off to Oregon for a week! Wahoo!

Midweek fabric fun!

I have recently discovered fabric has life outside of Joann fabric store!! Sometimes I see things in the store and think you know I could make that but how do you find fabric that great? Well I found this blog, now listed on my blog list, called Sew Mama Sew. They have all kinds of great fabric in their store and through more research I found a local store called Sowing Sisters. My friend Kelly and I went to check it out on Saturday only to arrive just as they were closing! So disappointing! Anyway we went back the next day and got lots of great stuff! This year I am trying to make more of my Christmas presents partially to save money but also because I think there is something so much more meaningful about a gift when you know it was handmade. Here are a couple of pillows I just recovered tonight! These unfortunately came at the expense of getting grocery shopping done! Oh well there is always tomorrow for things like that right!? This fabric is by Joel Dewberry in case you were curious:) Amy Butler and Heather Bailey are a couple of other new fabric designers whose stuff is inspiring and beautiful! Check them out if you are interested.

This weekend we are off to Big Bear to relax with Kyle and Alissa! Oh Big Bear is wonderful I need it's quietness! It feels a little like being back in Oregon. Speaking of being back in Oregon, that is where we will be in exactly one week! My heart is so happy thinking about soaking in some much desired family time and some quality friend time! I need to get my hands on the little Klaire bear and kiss her cutie cheeks! Oh and I can't wait to see Annie's belly! I love watching my friends families grow and watching my girlfriends be and become mommies, it is beautiful! That's all for now! Good night all!

Oh the preciousness that is

little baby Eli!

Andrew, Lucy and I drove up to visit the Mildren clan yesterday! We got to hold Eli a bunch, catch up with Mark & Jennilee and Lucy and Shaddy got to run around in their nice big back yard!

Yes that is Mark pulling Andrew on a skateboard and yes they are using an extension cord because what else would you use when there is no rope around? When that got old they set up obstacles to go around.

Me posing! I drove a few feet by myself :)

Jennilee's first time on the scooter!

Oh the preciousness!

Andrew is practicing he says!

Here are a few of Lucy & Shaddy playing!

Best Buds!
