Weekend of babies and sushi!
This last week our friends Brook and Ryan had their baby girl Allie Joy. She was so cute and so little and look at all of her hair! We went to the hospital to meet her on Friday night!
On Saturday we went downtown to sushi with our friends Randy and Tassia. It was delicious!! I'm looking forward to the day when I can enjoy more than miso soup and california rolls though!
Our friends Adam and Julia had their sweet baby boy Noah Isaac last week too! We got to meet him on Sunday and I can't wait to snuggle him again!
The cute family!
Isn't he the tiniest! I can't believe in a few months we will have a little one this small!
So with Adam and Julia in the hospital last week we got to have these guys over. Every time Andrew would even take them out to go to the bathroom Lucy would cry. She hates when they have to leave!
Andrew has some time on his hands right now while he is in between terms so he made us some of this goodness! Just in time for fall!

Little Stitches
On Sunday afternoon I went to Sowing Sisters with Kelly and Sarah to pick up some fabric for a little project we are working on. While we were there look what I found:
Yes! That is an Amy Butler pattern book! Normally her patterns cost around $15 but this book has 20 patterns for babies and the whole book only cost $25!! I could hardly contain myself! Here are a few sneak peaks at what is inside:

I love that I could design my own crib set! Although has anyone else been hearing that they are recommending not putting bumpers in cribs anymore to avoid suffocation? I mean I had heard you are not supposed to put blankets and stuffed toys in but bumpers now too??

I can't wait to start sewing! It doesn't hurt that they are all made from her fabulous fabric line! They are all rated on difficulty so I think I will start with a simpler pattern and see how I do.

visit from the mama!
I think I have put off writing about my mom coming down partially because I have a lot less energy during the week but also because I was not ready for her to leave! She flew in on Friday and we went straight from the airport to a part of downtown called Little Italy. We had heard of this place that has great pizza and we were not disappointed! It is called Filippi's and it was yummy! We mostly laid low and my mom and I swam almost every morning which felt so nice and was hard work! I am not much of a swimmer so I was surprised at how many of my muscles got a work out! On Saturday we met up with my mom's friend Tammy from Hawaii/Kings Kids days and got to meet her son and daughter in law.

On Sunday we went out to Coronado for lunch at a restaurant called Peohe's and it was so yummy and such a great location for lunch! We sat outside right on the bay and watched the boats and listened to the live music that was going on outside the restaurant. So relaxing!
This was the view from our table.
Me and my mama!!
Me and my love! Oh and our little baby in my tummy!
We had church that night and then my mama was gone the next morning!
The next time I will see my family is when they come down for Thanksgiving! My mom just booked tickets this morning! Andrew and I are really excited to have everyone down and this will be the first year to have Thanksgiving at our house! My mom even bought us a meat thermometer while she was down! Now we are really ready!

October 2nd . . .
Is when we find out if we are expecting a
or
We can't hardly contain ourselves! I'm hoping this month just flies by! Everyone has their guesses about what it will be so we thought we would start a little poll! It will be interesting to see who is right though we won't be able to tell from the poll since they are anonymous!
