SO cute Jamie! Which pattern are you going to do? Ok so as far as the bumper thing goes, some people say put nothing in the bed but I, personally, think the baby will sleep much better if he/she is somewhat comfortable! My boys always skooted up into the corner of their cribs and if there were no bumpers they would've bonked their heads every single night! BUT, I would recommend getting one that ties super tight to the crib so it's not loose!

So cute! I wish I had some craftiness in my bones like you :) And I agree with Jenn on the bumper pad. You're the mama so decide what works best for you. But Lily would've easily bonked her head as well. Plus, when they're so tiny they don't really move around you know-and extra padding might make "it" feel more comfortable. But that's just me :)
