Sunriver!

The day after Christmas Andrew's parents picked us up to spend some time in Sunriver. We LOVE Sunriver! It is one of the places we miss the most in Oregon. Of course the summers are really fun because you can bike ride to the pools and all around on the bike trails and of course get some Goody's ice cream! Ok for reminiscent pleasure here is an old summer memory of a picture we took while out on a bike ride:
Whenever we go to Sunriver we stay with Andrew's aunt who lives there. She is in her late sixties but boy is she a firecracker! Of course there was the time when she told us she would take us on a bike ride and show us around. Well 13 miles later I wasn't sure I would ever walk again and was a little embarrassed I could hardly keep up with her!

Anyway, back to our post Christmas getaway! We knew it would take us longer than usual to get there because of all of the snow but really it was pretty smooth driving and it was beautiful!

Lucy Loved the snow! And she didn't want to just walk along the pathways. She wanted to be chest deep forging her own path the whole time.
Which was fine the first day. It was so cold so the snow was super powdery.
Andrew's Aunt Maureen's house.
We went to the little village to walk around the shops, see the ice skaters and get some hot chocolate!

The next day Lucy couldn't wait to get out in the snow again! Only by then it was starting to warm up and the snow wasn't quite as powdery anymore.
Resulting in this:
I had to put her in the sink and rinse the clumps off because they were so stuck to her! Haha

After her snow romp Andrew and his dad packed up the car and headed to the mountain to get some skiing in. Andrew's mom and I got dropped off at the Sage Springs Spa on the way! I absolutely love this spa and have only been for a massage there one other time but seriously this is a happy place! Sometimes when I am really stressed out at work I think about going here and it makes me a little less stressed. :) I had planned to get a maternity massage and as I looked into it more I saw they had a Relax Pass package. So as a Christmas present Andrew's mom and I both got a Relax Pass which included more pampering than should be allowed in one day! I got a 50 minute maternity massage, a 50 minute facial and a 50 minute pedicure! Oh it makes me happy just thinking about it again! Well we got there around 9am, got settled in our robes and slippers and spent some time in the relaxation room before our treatments began. Then got ridiculously pampered from 10am to 1pm! By then we were starving so we ordered lunch from the lodge to be delivered to the relaxation room! Then we noticed they carried Jane Iredale makeup which I have been wanting to try so we spent some time looking at makeup and getting help which color matching. Then we got showered and ready and by the time we were all done it was 4:30pm!! I still can't believe we spent almost 8 hours at the spa!! Incredible! I'm so ready to go back! Even Andrew's mom loved it and she does not normally love sitting around relaxing! I think we may make it a yearly tradition but we will see. Next year will be a little different with a baby girl to think of. :) Andrew has already volunteered to take care of her if it means I get to relax and I am going to take him up on it for sure.

Now we are back at Andrew's parents house on the coast, relaxing, shopping (NO SALES TAX!) and eating out. Basically I am ready for this vacation to never end. I love getting to spend so much time with my hubby and am not ready to go back to busy life!
