6 months!

Well I guess she is more like 6 and a half months now!
Lots of new things this month! First off we have started solids! We started with oat cereal and here she is eating for the very first time. We tried peas next (homemade and earth's best organic) and she wasn't really into either one then we tried apples (just earth's best) and she wasn't really into that either. Then I tasted them and thought they were kind of gross too so now we are doing just oat cereal and unsweetened apple sauce and that she loves! Next on the menu is sweet potatoes! We will see what she thinks of those.
hmm what is in there?
ok thanks I can feed myself now!

such a joy this little one!
Got her first tooth!
She was bouncing in this and I was sitting on the couch by her and didn't hear her bouncing anymore so I looked over and she had just fallen asleep within two seconds! Of course I took her picture and as soon as the flash went off she popped her head up, looked around, and started bouncing again!

Her first tooth is growing day by day and as of yesterday her second tooth is starting to make itself known. I just took these pictures tonight. 27 weeks old or 6 months and 2 weeks. Doesn't she have the most expressive eyebrows? She totally gets those from her dad!

She gives us this look a lot. Raising her eyebrows as if she is saying, "Yes, can I help you?"
She is really close to being able to sit up by herself and tonight I went to lay her down on her tummy four different times and each time she pulled her knees under and kept her arms straight like she was ready to start crawling! I am really ok with her not doing that just yet. We had some friends over for dinner last night and their daughter is 9 months old and walking which really gave me an idea of what things in our house are going to seem fun for Audra when she gets more mobile! Yikes! I mean where am I supposed to put Lucy's food and water where she can get it and Audra can't!??

Lets see what else... oh yes she has been using the toilet some! haha! she has no idea what is going on but if i can tell she has to go i just put her on there and boy does it save a mess! especially now that she is eating food! Hopefully she doesn't hate me someday for posting this!

I have also noticed this month that gone are the innocent baby days of her only crying because she is hungry or tired. This girl definitely knows what she wants and sometimes she cries just because she doesn't get it! Oh that old sin nature just comes out so early!

The only other new thing I think she is doing is getting used to a sippy cup which she mostly bites on but every so often she drinks out of it. She also loves to drink water just straight out of a regular cup now. I think mostly because she sees us doing it.

Just can't believe how big our sweet little baby is getting! It is incredible to see her growing and changing so quickly and I just feel so blessed to be her mom and to get to take care of her everyday!

New Sets!

I wish I could say these are all over in my shop but unfortunately or rather fortunately they are for an order I am working on filling for 12 sets! Woohoo! People are just having babies all over the place! This is part of why I haven't had a lot of time for blogging lately! That and the fact that Audra up until a few days ago was boycotting any sort of real nap. Almost all of this fabric I got from the Stitchin' Post in Sisters, Oregon! I just love all of these patterns and they have been so fun to work with!

I have also been working on a new burp cloth idea! Flannel on one side and minky on the other! Does it get any softer than that!? I totally wish I had these when Audra was first born! I have lots more of these coming soon!

She wore an

Isty Bitsy Teeny Weeny Pink Skirted Bikini!

Audra is starting to pitch in here and there and offered to carry her bucket to the beach. :)

Um can I have your sunglasses??
Fine tuning her surfing skills
Isn't my bucket for eating??
Went on a long walk down the beach with her dad, which was really nice for mama!

She is all about her tongue lately!
Leaving us with one tuckered out little baby girl!

Audra and Lucy

Well Audra has really discovered that she has a puppy and she thinks she is pretty fun! I laid Audra down with some toys but she was more interested in her furry toy that was moving around so she scooted over to Lucy! Lucy was trying to lay on Audra's blanket so I got Lucy her own blanket. It is so cute seeing them interact! Lucy totally loves Audra but doesn't trust her. Rightfully so since Audra is into pulling hair!
Then Lucy went and got her toys to see if Audra wanted to play with her but Audra was busy with her baby toys.
So Lucy took her dog toys over to her blanket thinking that is just what the babies in this house do!

Oregon Trip part 3

We left the coast and headed up to Ptown to meet up with friends! First stop was to see our friends the Bolens! Who will be here in 6 days!!

Of course we stopped by on a super crazy day for them since they were moving that day!!

Audra and Ethan got to play...
Isn't that baby E just so cute! Such a big boy sitting up on his own!
With our babies! Miss that little Klaire Bear! I think Ethan is checking out Audra in this picture!

That evening we were also able to meet up with our friends Justin and Austie for desert at CPK but I didn't get any pictures of that. :(

On Sunday Andrew started his drive back to So Cal.
Daniel's birthday was that next weekend but since Audra and I were in town we got to celebrate a week early which was such a treat for us since we haven't been around for birthdays the last few years.
Of course we got balloons for the birthday boy which is a funny story. I put the balloons in the back of the van and didn't tie them to anything. We made our first stop after picking up the balloons and got back to the car and as I opened the door one balloon flew out. So then we were down to just two balloons. We made another stop and got back to the car and realized we only had one balloon left. At some point a second one had escaped!! So in an effort to make sure we had balloons for the party we only made one more stop, to buy more balloons!
Audra was really excited about the balloons!

All four generations!
You can totally tell in these pictures that Audra is going to have Hawaiian hula eyes! They are so brown!
The next day we went down to the waterfront for a picnic and to ride the carousel!
Our friends Kimberly and Isaac met us there! Isaac is only three weeks older than Audra.

Ok so I am waiting for a cd of pictures from my mom because I don't have any of the carousel on my camera so there will be more to come!

On our last day in Oregon Audra and I went back up to Ptown to spend the day with Amanda, Klaire, Ethan, Annie and Colin! It was so fun to have the kids play together! Soon Annie's sweet Julia will be joining in on the fun too!! We went out to lunch at Panera and then Amanda's mom stayed with Klaire while she napped so we could sneak off to the Mill Ends in Beaverton! Erin Michelle met us there and then later Erin, Kelly and I went to dinner at PF Changs! It was really so wonderful getting to spend the day with friends! So lame that I didn't get any pictures of that day either!!
