sleeping

Our girl is getting bigger! :( She slept in our bed in her moses basket for the first week or so but since then she has been in her crib but still in her moses basket. At first she was in our bed because I couldn't stand not being able to just sit up and look at her and hear her all night. After that first week or so though she started to be a louder sleeper. :) Lots of grunts and squeeks and all night I would jump up at every little noise so it was time for her to be in her room. I kept her in the moses basket though just because her crib seemed so big and not cozy. A few days ago we noticed her basket was getting a little too cozy so now she is just in her crib. I know breaking all the rules, look at all those blankets.

I usually swaddle her to feed her and then I put her in her crib so she is still swaddled when I lay her down but she ALWAYS wiggles out of it! She is so stinkin' strong and she loves her arms by her face or waving around! I will lay her down in one place and go to get her and she is in another place! Crazy! She has pretty much been a really great sleeper basically since she was born but last night she slept her first seven hour stretch!! She went down at 7:30 and slept until 2:30 and then I fed her and changed her and she went back down at 3:15 full and content but still awake. I went to bed and listened to her "talk" to herself which is just squeeks grunts and gurgles for a while until she fell asleep and then she slept until 6:30! I went to bed an hour after her at 8:30 so I got six hours of sleep in a row which felt incredible! Not sure if this will be a pattern now or not but anyway last night was wonderful!
