I love fall! I love the crispness of the air, how the leaves turn to fire and all the new flavors and smells the season brings. In San Diego we don't experience the same changing of season that other parts of the country experience but we can full heartedly embrace the yummy flavors and smells! I have already purchased my annual pumpkin candle and am filling my house with it's yummy aroma! Part of why I think I love fall is it hints to the beginning of the holiday season! I love how long we get to celebrate fall! Maybe most don't start quite this early but starting now I can leave my yummy pumpkin candle out for almost two months! Last week Andrew brought home a copy of the October issue of Country Living. He begins by telling me how he bought it for me because he thought I would enjoy it he knows I like doing crafty things as my schedule and creativity allow and the issue had some fun craft ideas. Wow honey that is so thoughtful of you! Then he goes on to say oh and there is a REALLY YUMMY looking cake on the front cover! Do you think "we" could make it? Oh sweet husband I will make the cake for you thank you for the magazine I say as I giggle inside by how clever he thought he was starting off by mentioning the crafts! I don't think I have ever made a cake from scratch so this was a new adventure for me and one that ended up overtaking my kitchen and evening. It was a pumpkin spice cake with cinnamon whip cream frosting and I did learn one thing for sure I love whip cream frosting! That was the least time consuming of this entire cake process and my favorite part! I will only make whip cream frosting from now on! It is so light and fluffy and now overly sweet! I am a believer! So with all the effort involved I decided it was post worthy!

You're sooo cute! Your domestic capabilities are waaaaay ahead of me! The cake looked fabulous - YUM. I'll have to send you an apron for your efforts. :-) We loved chatting with you the other night - it was the best! Big Tony sends lots of bunny love. Lots of carrots & floppy ears! xxx
